April Blizzard

After
Our minds have shifted
To flowers
And plans for summer vacation
The last snow blows in
Covers the newly greened grass
Encases the forsythia
Freezes to drooping brown wilt
Our full-bloomed magnolias.

We curse the storm.

But to the man in room 400
Whose insides rot like withered blossoms
This crystal scene
Half melted off by noon
Adds one more unexpected season
To his life
One final sparkle
To his fading eyes.

Hello all,
Poetry and essays are quite important part of literature.it should be encouraged in schools and colleges to prompte students in writing poems and essays.
