On a trial basis, we would like to help Heron Dancers get in touch with each other for short term trades.

If you have a home in one part of the country and would like to trade it for a week or two with another Heron Dance subscriber, please post your offering and desired area of trade here. We offer this as a free service and Heron Dance is not responsible for arrangements gone awry.

There are many things to consider when entering into home trades, including some of the following. Be very clear and confirm everything important to you, in particular things like:

- dates of arrival.
- condition of the home you will be occupying
- how any damage will be dealt with
- availability of parking
- any pets you want to bring with you, or that will remain in the house you are occupying
- other issues that may be important including average local temperatures at the time of year you are considering and the availability of public transit if important.

If you try this and have a good or bad experience please post it here. We’d like to offer this forum long term if enough Heron Dancers find it useful.

This is intended as a forum for even trades rather than a rental service. Please be very careful about any arrangements that involve the exchange of money.

We live in Northern Lower Michigan. Near Frankfort. Our home is about 13 miles from Lake MI and about 6 miles from Crystal Lake. We have a totally fenced yard and the house is dog/cat friendly. We may be open to a swap sometime this year. We would want to take our dog-kids and maybe the cats or not depending on who would do the exchange with us.
Our home is in the country on 2.7 acres, nice ranch. No shade trees over house, can get warm in summer, but we have air.
